LG Air Purifiers
LG makes mid to high cost air purifiers with multi-stage filtration and HEPA filters. LG rates their units for larger rooms which assumes a strong fan to draw in plenty of air. We have not been able to find any reviews of these units and can’t comment on their effectiveness. Some of the models are only distributed in certain parts of the world (i.e. the Middle East).

LG Air Purifier Technology
LG Electronics air cleaning technology uses washable filters as part of a 16-stage multi-layer filtering system that includes an anti-virus pre filter, a photocatalyst plasm filter, an allergen filter, a washable HEPA filter, an activated charcoal filter and a platinum deodorization filter. These 6 filters not only remove 99.97 percent of the particulates from an airstream down to 0.3 microns, but they tackle the tough pollutants like animal dander, allergy causing germs, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and even nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions that irritate respiratory conditions.
Replacement filters are only required for the allergy filter which costs $30.00. LG Air purifier prices or warranty information are not listed on the manufacturer’s website, consumers are referred to their nearest location to get further information. LG Electronics produces five types of air purifiers, but not all are listed with online retailers so prices are not available for all models.
LG Air Purifier Models
- PS -S200 line retails online for $420 to $650 with case choices that include romantic pink or creamy white. It uses a 6-step filtration system that covers 20 square meters and stands 46.3 cm tall, 37.2 cm wide and is 19 cm deep. Contains a pre filter and HEPA filter with deodorization provided by a activated carbon filter. The unit uses 8 to 35 watts for operation depending on motor speed.
- LG PS PS-P700 Air Bus comes in a ergonomic dark red case and covers an area of 60 square meters. It stands 64cm tall, 47.5cm wide and is 30 cm deep. The 10-stage filter has rotating blades that perform an auto-clean function and contains just a washable HEPA filter and an allergen filter.
- LG PS-P800 Air Bus is a 10-step filtration system which features a allergen filter and a washable HEPA filter. It will cover a 73 square meter radius, weighs 15 KG and is 47.5 cm wide, 30 cm deep and 63 cm tall. The pre filter has a rotating blade that helps keep it clean and the ergonomic design enables easy identification of current air quality in a room with a touch control pad using graphic LED display. Max from noise level of 53 decibels at high speed, 16 decibels at low speed and it uses 8 to 35 watts to operate, depending on fan speed.
- PS-N550WP retails for $700 to $800 and has a 16-step filtration system that covers 43 square meters and provides deodorization, sterilization and dust control. It weighs 12 kg and stands 56.8 cm high, 42.6 cm wide and is 27 cm deep. Noise minimum is 15db and maximum is 46db and it uses 8 to 55 watts depending on fan speed.
- PS-M550 and PS-M550WPK are both the top-of-the-line models that feature the full 16-step filtration system that covers 43 square meters comes in a Art Cool red case or silver plastic case. Both units measure 56.8 cm high, 42.6 cm wide and 27 cm deep and weigh 9.5 kg. The I-sensor system includes a dust and smell technology that monitors room pollution rates and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. The unit includes a hygienic HEPA filter, 1 step deodorization activated charcoal filter and platinum deodorization with NPO sterilization. It requires 8 to 35 watts to operate, depending on fan speed.
